Artist: One Republic
Album: Waking Up

The Good News: Very impressive vocals and much more energy than the previous album. There’s something intriguing about the band’s whole sound and really nothing else out there compares to it.
The Bad News: There are still a few lyrically sappy songs (“All This Time”, “Fear”) that might get on your nerves. This, however is the only, very minor flaw. A

Album: Battle Studies

The Good News: Most of the songs are moderately tolerable. You might fall asleep during only 95% of the album.
The Bad News: You might fall asleep during 95% of the album. C

Artist: Justin Beiber
Album: My World

The Good News: This kid’s hair is combed really neat—he almost looks like Jesse McCartney’s love child. He’s young enough to probably be just that too.
The Bad News: I could have sworn I just sold Aaron Carter’s 1997 debut album on Ebay but here it arises again. It takes a few tracks to realize that this is a prepubescent boy singing and not a fifteen year old girl. Justin sings songs about life situations he probably won’t encounter for another five years. This is nothing but a collection of laughable, forgettable tweeny bopper music. D+

Artist: Leona Lewis
Album: Echo

The Good News: Leona Lewis once again brings her stunning vocals to a thoroughly enjoyable collection. There’s also a great, notable track called “Lost Then Found” featuring One Republic to create a perfect vocal pairing.
The Bad News: Echo’s general sound doesn’t really differ much from Leona’s first album, Spirit. But I guess that’s not necessarily a terrible thing. A-

Artist: Kris Allen
Album: Kris Allen

The Good News: Mr. American Idol 2009’s debut album is a lot more catchy and uplifting than expected. Quite satisfying for several different music tastes.
The Bad News: Not too sure about the choice to cover Kanye West’s douchey song, “Heartless.” But as much as you might not want it to, it could grow on you fast. B+
Tracks to Download: “Live Like We’re Dying” and “The Truth”
Artist: Adam Lambert
Album: For Your Entertainment

The Good News: Very catchy, fun dance album. The sound totally fits Adam’s voice and style.
The Bad News: Beware of Adam’s annoying trademark hair band screeching. It happens here sometimes. B
